International Student Requirements |

The general policies of the University outlined in the current catalog apply to international students as well as U. S. students. However, some special policies are necessitated by federal laws, which are applicable only to international students. An international student is any individual attending WNMU who holds an F-1 or M-1 non-immigrant visa.Legally admitted immigrants and refugees are not considered international students. WNMU requires a score of 550 written or 213 on the computer version or better on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for all international students new to WNMU. All application material, including the application for admission and transcripts or national examination scores and/or transcripts from colleges or universities (with an English translation); all test scores including the TOEFL; proof of adequate financial support; and a health examination form must be on file in the Admissions Office by: May 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Fall Semester September 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Spring Semester Applications not processed by the deadline noted above will be processed for the subsequent semester. International students are required to show proof of adequate health insurance or arrange to purchase such insurance.The policy must include emergency evacuation or repatriation to their home country. |
