International Student
Requirements:
1)
Apply for admission by appropriate date:
a. Fall semester – June 1st prior to the beginning of the desired Fall semester
b. Spring semester – September 1st prior to the beginning of the desired Spring semester.
2)
Submit all of the following supporting
documents:
a. Official transcripts from previous college/university.
b. If a first-time freshman or college transfer student with fewer than 24 credit hours completed, official transcripts from previous high school are also necessary.
c. Official copies of TOEFL or SAT/ACT scores to satisfy English proficiency requirement. Student schooled and/or citizens of English speaking countries (i.e. Canada, Great Britain, Australia, etc.) do not need to prove English proficiency.
d. Financial Statement/Sponsor Statement (available at our website, www.wnmu.edu)
e. Health Form (available at our website, www.wnmu.edu)
f. “Official” refers to documents sent directly to the Office of Admissions by the issuing school, university, and/or testing agency.
g. If any transcripts are not issued in English, it is the responsibility of the student to have an Independent Transcript Evaluation agency translate the document into English. This translation must be received officially in the Office of Admissions.
h. Any student wishing to receive transfer credit for college/university coursework taken at a foreign institution must have his/her transcripts evaluated by an Independent Transcript Evaluation agency. This evaluation must be received officially in the Office of Admissions.
i. A list of Independent Transcript Evaluation agencies can be obtained from the Office of Admissions.
3)
Submit all of the above listed documents by the
appropriate date:
a. Fall semester – July 1st prior to the beginning of the desired Fall semester
b. Spring semester – October 1st prior to the beginning of the desired Spring semester
c. If documents are not submitted by these dates, timely processing of your admission application and I-20 cannot be guaranteed.
d. Any International Student Applicant submitting their materials late will be processed for the subsequent semester.
4) Provide proof of adequate health insurance or arrange to purchase such insurance.
a. The policy must include emergency evacuation or repatriation to their home country.
b. If such proof cannot be provided to the Office of Admission during the first week of classes, the University will provide such a policy to the student with cost for said policy being the responsibility of the student.
