| Mock Interviews |
|
The mock interview is one of the very best ways to prepare for an actual interview (videotaping optional). It allows you to gain experience and practice answering questions that you are likely to be asked by employers. Then, by reviewing the interview with the Career Services Director, you can get a more accurate view of how others see you during an interview. The Career Services Director takes on the role of the employer and will try to make the interview as realistic as possible by asking questions that are typical of those that might be asked in reference to your prospective position. You can prepare for the mock interview by obtaining a list of questions that the interviewer might ask from Career Services. Be prepared to respond to the interview's questions by describing past experiences that will help give the interviewer a better idea of your qualifications. The mock interview takes about 20 minutes. You will then discuss and critique it. Please allow one hour for the appointment. Be early and bring a copy of your resume. You will certainly find this to be an extremely valuable and worthwhile way of developing those necessary and critical interview skills. To schedule an appointment please call 538-6109.
