Step 1:
Pending official admission to the graduate program, an applicant may take up to 6 credits as a "special student." To apply as a "special student," complete the application for special admission.
Within the first semester an applicant must complete and submit the Graduate Application for Admission. |

Step 2:
Submit a letter of intent. |

Step 3:
Submit sealed official copies of transcripts. |

| |
Step 4:
Applicants who have a GPA of 3.0 or better for the last 64/36 credit hours of undergraduate/graduate work will not be required to take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). |

Step 5:
Applicants who have a GPA between 2.75 and 2.99 for the last 64/36 credit hours of undergraduate/graduate work will be admitted on provisional status. A student may take up to 9 credit hours while on provisional status and must take the GRE and earn a score of at least 720. Upon completion of 9 hours of graduate work with a grade of B or better in each course and submission of GRE scores, the student must request review of her/his admission status to the Director of the Graduate Division. |

Step 6:
Applicants will be contacted and linked to advisors in their selected areas of concentration. Degree plans are developed in consultation with advisors. |
