My philosophy of education is to promote student learning in an environment which is safe and supportive for both students and staff. The overall health of an individual or an entire university relies on the premise that all individuals in the system are valuable and worthy of respect.

Research and academic interests

My interests are multifaceted and include: individual counseling; group counseling; crisis intervention; psychological assessment; referral to community agencies; consultation & case staffing with school counselors/social workers; consultation with teachers, administrators, & parents; behavior management consultation; psychoeducational workshops & training; development of psychoeducational materials; and liaison & outreach with community agencies. Healthy work relations and cooperative group efforts are an integral part of my work values.
