CACREP is an independent agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit master's degree programs in: addiction counseling; career counseling; clinical mental health counseling; marriage, couple, and family counseling; school counseling; as well as student affairs and college counseling.
National Board for Certified Counselors and Affiliates, Inc.
NBCC is the foundation center for credentialing and education for National Certified Counselors (NCC). NCC is designed to identify counselors who have met national standards set by members of the counseling profession.
NBCC Code of Ethics
NBCC applicants and certificants are responsible for ensuring that their behavior adheres to the standards identified in the NBCC Code of Ethics.
