ESSAY: Personal Journal to Occupational Therapy

Each student who applies to the MOT program is asked to provide a single page essay describing their personal journey to occupational therapy. The essay is a reflection upon your own experiences, ideas, and feelings that led you to choose to become an occupational therapist. The essay will voice your personal ethos and vision for the future. It will communicate to the selection committee the volitional factors that uniquely express who you are. Think of this essay also as being a time-capsule note to yourself; when you see yourself as a practicing OT ten years from now, what kind of a message would you like to receive from your earlier self?

A single page essay, single spaced, no less than 11 pt. font and no less than 1" margins, use a header to indicate your name and the date.
