Bachelor of Arts Degree
 

The rehabilitation services baccalaureate degree offers a level of training which prepares you to enter the field as a skilled professional. The program believes that the successful professional should be well versed in liberal arts as well as the study of physical and psychosocial aspects of disability, case management, advocacy, employment, and technology.

 

The degree requires

·         completion of WNMU general education requirements (minimum 41 credit hours

·         completion of Core Rehabilitation Services classes (44 credit hours)

·         completion of one Internship (6 credit hours)

·         completion of an approved minor

·         at least 128 credit hours completed, 54 credit hours of which must be junior or senior level classes

OTA 160 OT in Growth and Development or Developmental Psychology

OTA 255 OT Program Development or any business management class

One 3 credit hour upper division Chemical Dependency class

Psy 412 – Psychopathology or Abnormal Psychology

SPED 408 Introduction to the Exceptional Child

RHAB 310 Introduction to Rehabilitation

RHAB 320 Physical and Psychosocial Aspects of Disability

RHAB 322 Employment for People with Disabilities

RHAB 321 Field experience in Rehabilitation 1

RHAB 370 Communication for Health and Human Services Professionals

RHAB 410 Assistive Technology

RHAB 411 Field experience in Rehabilitation 2

RHAB 420 Case Management

RHAB 481 Practicum in Rehabilitation

9 credit hours of approved electives
