Audio Engineering Program

The WNMU Audio Engineering Program is designed to educate and help student to become fully proficient in the production and manipulation of sound through hands-on training. Our program features industry standard equipment such as AVID Pro-Tools.
An Audio Engineer is a professional that has been educated in the creative and practical aspects of sound. He/She is familiar with the design, installation and the operation of sound recording and broadcasting equipment. His/her job consists of the technical aspects of recording, editing, mixing as well as microphone techniques.

After completing the Audio Engineering Associate Program, the students will be certified and a have a degree enabling them to enter a career as a production assistant, assistant or lead recording engineer, studio engineer, broadcasting equipment management, sound advertising production or post-production.

  • Pro Tools 101
  • Pro Tools 110 (User Certified)
  • Audio Post Production
  • Audio Special Effects
  • Studio/Field Recording
  • Mixing and Mastering
