Film Technology

The Film Technology Program provides a comprehensive overview and understanding of all supportive aspects of the film industry and film production. The program examines the details of the film making process from pre- to post-production and introduces students to the terminology, job categories and descriptions as well as the necessary protocols and set etiquette required to work in the film industry.
  • Hands-on training experience
  • Film-projects and exercises conducted in partnership with independent filmmakers, the New Mexico Film Office, New Mexico Film Technician's Union, and the International Alliance of Theatrical and State Employees (IATSE).
  • Multi-media approach to learning
  • Learn lighting, camera operation, film crew skills and techniques, audio engineering, video editing, microphone setup and film theory
