Judith Meyer
Adjunct Professor of Painting & Art
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Judith Meyer lived in the Midwest until moving to New Mexico in 2005. She received her BFA degree at the University of Michigan. After receiving her MFA from the University of Illinois, she moved to Ohio where she taught at The Cleveland State University, The Cleveland Institute of Arts and The University of Akron. For five summers, she taught workshops at the Penland School of Arts and Crafts as well as workshops at the Omega Institute and rural Guatemala. While teaching at Western New Mexico University, she has led Travel/Study Workshops in Barcelona, Spain; Paris, France; Brussels, Belgium; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Rome, Italy and Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She teaches a variety of courses at Western New Mexico University. At present she is the coordinator of the Painting Program as well as teaching a variety of lecture art history based courses.
Judith has received numerous awards and shows regionally and nationally and internationally.
