A Great Adventure in Virginia
I recently went on a vacation to Richmond, Virginia. It was a great experience
for me since that was my first real trip away from New Mexico. We flew and
that was the longest flight. It was scary. I went there with my grandmother
and cousin. We were going there for vacation and also to see my uncle who’s
been out there for quite sometime now. We left three days before Christmas
and were there for two weeks. We visited lots of sites and traveled to other
little cities. The one site I enjoyed the most was walking along Virginia
Beach. Just watching the waves go back and forth was exciting. It was my
first time ever seeing an ocean and to get the feel of what beach sand really
felt like. The sand was very nice and soft, but hot at the same time. I only
visited the beach twice when we were there, and I enjoyed every sight and
sound of it. When it was time to leave, I was ready. Since I was not really
used to the climate, I was getting sick with a cold and cough. We left that
early morning, right when the sun was coming up. That was a beautiful sight
seeing Richmond all lighted up and looking down from the sky.
