“Dive Devil”

The first day in California at Six Flags was great. Ferris, Erwin, Mike, Anthony, Brad and I went on almost every big roller coaster they had except the wood coasters. Later in the evening around four or five, Ferris wanted to do this called “Dive Devil.” The more people that he could get to go with him, the cheaper it was for each individual. Mike and Anthony don’t like anything to do with free falling, and Brad is not ambitious enough. Erwin and Ferris were able to talk me into doing this, after forty-five minutes of convincing.

The workers of “Dive Devil” placed us in a body harness. Then he instructed us to walk up to the platform where the cables get attached. Then he asked who wanted to release the cord, and then arranged us by height. Once we were in order, the worker attached us to the cable and hauled us up. The first cable pulled us up 100 feet in the air. The second cord allowed us to do the fifty foot free fall and swing back and forth.

I was terrified of heights when I was little. When the cable started to pull us up. I began to have a panic attack. At the top I managed to calm myself down and actually enjoyed the ride. I am not willing to do it again, if anyone asked.

When it was all done, I said I was never doing this again. I bought the recording of it so I could always remind myself why I am never doing it again.
