None

Argyrochosma limitanea subsp. mexicana is found growing on rocks in dry habitat, but usually above creekbeds. The proximal pinna of the leaf blade is about a third the length of the blade. The farina is dense and white on the undersurface. During the dormant season, the pinnae fold up exposing the farina.
