(Hairy Grama)

Synonyms:
Chondrosum foenum Torrey
Chondrosum hirsutum (Lagasca) Kunth

Bouteloua hirsuta is very similar to Bouteloua gracilis, except that the branches off the primary axis extend several millimeters past the last spikelet. The two species are frequently found in the same area.
