Ephedraceae (Ephedra Family)
The Ephedraceae are also known as the Mormon Tea Family. The Ephedras have no leaves and have jointed green stems in whorls. Like flowering plants, they have a cuplike perianth, but like gymnosperms they have naked seeds.
