Leonurus cardiaca subsp. cardiaca is an erect herb with very hairy pink and purple flowers at the nodes. The coarsely dentate leaves stand almost perpendicularly away from the stem. Leonurus cardiaca subsp. cardiaca is found in disturbed ground at middle elevation.
