Synonyms:
Senecio macdougalii Heller

Senecio eremophilus var. macdougalii is found at upper elevation in mixed conifer forest. It is bushy and highly branched. There are many inflorescences per branch. The rays and disc are both yellow. The phyllaries are in one series and are black tipped. The leaves are deeply pinnatifid.
