Spermolepis divaricata (T. Walter) Rafinesque ex Seringe
(Spreading Scaleseed)

Family: Apiaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Daucus divaricatus Walter

Spermolepis divaricata looks similar to Daucus pusillus, but it is taller and the fruit is not hairy but is tuberculate. Both can be found growing in the same area and magnification is required to differentiate the two species. Daucus pusillus is probably more common in most areas here.
