Synonyms:
Cathartolinum neomexicanum (Greene) Small

Linum neomexicanum is an erect herb with pale yellow flowers on a strong stem. The leaves are narrowly lanceolate. The flowers mainly arise individually from leaf axils. Linum neomexicanum is found in middle to upper elevation Ponderosa Pine forests.
