Rumex crispus subsp. crispus is a tall perennial most easily recognized by the
acute, lanceolate leaves which are narrow (at least compared to Rumex hymenosepalus) and very "crisped" or wavy along the edges.
Rumex crispus is found along streambeds and in moist areas in canyons.
