Ruscaceae
(Butcher's Broom Family)


The Ruscaceae are perennials. The flowers usually have 3 petals and sepals. The leaves have parallel veins and can be either linear or broad. Most Ruscaceae have small flowers and colorful berries. Cronquist and others in the past have considered this family to be part of the Liliaceae.
