Graduate Programs Master of Arts in Educational Leadership
Graduate students frequently use the online resources of the Miller Library to do their research. The Master of Arts in Educational Leadership program is designed to prepare experienced educators for leadership positions in their schools and communities. The SOE partnership with the New Mexico School Leadership institute is evidence of our commitment to long-term professional development, as well as the building of innovative and supportive networks for our students and alumni. The MA-Educational Leadership program aligns with the State of New Mexico Public Education Department competencies and requirements for school administrators. Furthermore, our graduate students will utilize best practices of the ASCD and follow the standards of the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium. For admission to the program, an applicant must hold a valid teaching license and have a minimum of seven years of teaching experience. Specific admissions and matriculation requirements are available through the university catalog, and students are encouraged to carefully read all documentation. Your faculty advisor can also answer detailed questions.
