In recognition of 36 years of teaching bilingual education, Emma J Galindo Armendariz is hereby named to the Western New Mexico University Education Hall of Fame.
Emma Armendariz's first love is teaching. This love has allowed her to emerge as a nationally recognized "Teacher Leader" in bilingualism and biliteracy in New Mexico. Throughout her career, Mrs. Armendariz has enhanced students achievement through family involvement, arts-based curricula, and language immersion. Mrs. Armendariz has stood by her conviction that all students can learn and should be given every opportunity to do so in a stimulating, nurturing, and supportive environment.
