Inducted 2001 Guy D. Spurgur taught 12
years at the middle school level and 25 years at the high school level.
His energy for life is depicted in managing a drive-in theater at night
while he taught days at Cobre High School. In 1972 Mr. Sprugur was selected
for the Elementary Teacher of America for his work in the individualized
teaching of science. He was also noted for serving as one of the first
mentor teachers for his school district in Creascent City, California.
Mr. Spurgur authored three books - Lest I Forget, Birdwalk of
a Loner, and Upgrading your Recent Family Genealogy"
