The legacy of Dr. Dudley E. Sykes professional education career is rooted in a family belief that an education is very valuable and no one can take it away from you. As a result of this foundation he has provided kindness, compassion, confidence, humility, and a grace to students and colleagues alike. His career started in the Cobre Schools leading him to the University of Wyoming, El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, CA., Sacramento City School District, and retiring from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Sykes very presence has generated the confidence in students and faculty for them to excel beyond their own expectations.
In recognition of 38 years of teaching and his grace towards students, Dudley E. Sykes is hereby named to the WNMU Education Hall of Fame.
