The
Western New Mexico Teacher Education Program prepares teacher candidates
to work with a diverse population of students through the acquisition
of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that fosters their ability to fulfill
a set of program teacher outcomes. Program teacher outcomes will be
used as a guide throughout a students professional core course
work. We recognize that learning to teach is a developmental process.
We believe that the ability to fulfill the teacher outcomes is a developmental
process of the teacher candidates that should be documented through
portfolio assessment. The following teaching outcomes consider that
