The Western New Mexico Teacher Education Program prepares teacher candidates to work with a diverse population of students through the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that fosters their ability to fulfill a set of program teacher outcomes. Program teacher outcomes will be used as a guide throughout a student’s professional core course work. We recognize that learning to teach is a developmental process. We believe that the ability to fulfill the teacher outcomes is a developmental process of the teacher candidates that should be documented through portfolio assessment. The following teaching outcomes consider that developmental
progress.
