Promotion and Tenure Task Force

It is expected that this group will report progress on its activities to the General Assembly and the Staff Senate at the monthly meeting and will post minutes on a web pages for all the University community to view.

The charge of this task force is to examine the current promotion and tenure guidelines in the faculty handbook and to recommend revisions to clarify the procedures, criteria, and performance levels that need to be attained before the granting of tenure and promotion in rank from instructor to assistant professor to associate professor to full professor. This recommendation is to be accomplished by the end of the fall 2000 semester and will be presented to the Board of Regents in their December meeting.
