It is expected that these groups will report progress on their activities to the General Assembly and the Staff Senate at the monthly meeting and will post minutes on a web page for all the University community to view.
This task force will review and revise the existing general education program to ensure that the outcomes of the general education program are appropriate to our mission and student body, that the courses and requirements meet the goals of the program, and will work with the Assessment Committee to ensure that there is an adequate way to measure the success of the program in accomplishing its goals. The revised program will contain no more that 42 hours at the 100 and 200 levels. Additional hours may be required at the junior and senior levels if deemed necessary and advisable. After going through the appropriate campus committees, the task force recommendations need to be presented to the Provost/VPAA by May 1, 2001.
