FUNDING WORKSHOP FOR HISTORIC RECORDS PROJECTS


On November 17, 2004, Mr. Randy Forrester from the New Mexico Historical Records Advisory Board (NMHRAB) will provide a Funding Workshop on grant funds available from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) and the New Mexico Historical Records Advisory Board (NMHRAB).  The workshop will be held in the Student Memorial Building 3rd Floor Seminar Room on the campus of Western New Mexico University, 1000 W. College Ave., from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. 

The workshop is designed for nonprofit and governmental organizations to provide them with information about these two funding sources.  Workshop topics include eligible projects, application forms, and the grant review process.  Approximately $3,000,000 is available from the NHPRC and $45,000 from the NMHRAB for their next funding cycles.  Dr. Julie Miller, NMHRAB board member and university librarian at WNMU, will also be available to answer questions about the NMHRAB funding process.
