SILVER CITY—The Western New Mexico University jazz ensemble "The Thundering Herd,” will perform in concert on Friday, Dec. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center Theatre.

The ensemble will perform a variety of contemporary big-band pieces including swing, samba, funk, rock, ballad, and a Christmas piece. April Hanson, WNMU Information Technology program development manager, will be a guest vocalist. Professional soloists Jay Hammel and John Tank will perform as guest artists on a piece.
