SILVER CITY--Women’s History Month 2005 activities will be held during the month of March on the campus of Western New Mexico University.
On Thursday, March 10, a representative from Gila Regional Medical Center will hold a presentation titled “Breast Cancer,” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Student Memorial Center Seminar Room.
On Monday, March 14, a forum on “Issues Affecting the Female Student,” will be presented from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Student Memorial Center Seminar Room.
Friday, March 18, will feature a “Healthy Relationships Workshop,” from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Student Memorial Center Seminar Room. Jennifer Johnston, an adjunct instructor at WNMU, will conduct the workshop.
Later that day, a “Tea Party,” has been scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Student Memorial Center Seminar Room.
The WNMU Office of Multicultural Affairs and Student Activities is sponsoring the Women’s History Month 2005 activities. All programs are open to the public. For more information, contact the office at 538-6611.
