SILVER CITY—Western New Mexico
University’s Extended University will be offering a Red Cross Water Safety
Instructor course. The course will be
offered starting May 11 at the WNMU pool.
The class will meet from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays, and three to four hours on some Saturdays and Sundays during May. The class will conclude by May 30.
The class will be limited to ten
students. Interested individuals must
already have current Red Cross Lifeguard training, CPR and First-Aid
certifications. The first ten students
to register and pay the $15 course fee at the Extended University office will
be accepted into the class. The
students will need to pay $60 to the instructor at the first class meeting for
the book and Red Cross fee. Instructors
will be Don King and Tina Ely.
