CAPTION—The Western New Mexico University Multicultural Affairs/Student Activities Office sponsored a number of activities celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Films were viewed during the week leading to a festive Cinco de Mayo lunch including pan dulce (sweet bread) delivered from Bowie Bakery of El Paso, Texas, drawings for piñatas created by Piñatas and More, and music. Pictured is WNMU School of Education Field Experience Director Trinidad “Trini” Tolar sharing the history of Cinco de Mayo to the more than 300 students, staff, faculty and community members that participated.
