SILVER CITY—Fall semester classes are set to begin at Western New Mexico University on Aug. 22, 2005.

All student service offices will be open until 6 p.m. (or until hallway is clear of students) on Friday, Aug. 19, and on Aug. 22, 23, 24 and 25 to accommodate students who are unable to register during regular working hours.   

The Bookstore will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 23, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 25, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26.  

Refund checks will be issued in the Brancheau P.E. Complex from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Aug. 22, for students who have finalized by noon on Friday, Aug. 19.  After 12 p.m. refund checks will be available in the Business Office.  The second disbursement of refund checks will be on Monday, Aug. 29, in the Business Office for all students who finalize by noon on Thursday, Aug. 25.  Anyone completing registration after these dates will follow the normal refund schedule.

General registration will be held in the Castorena Hall Administration Building on Monday, Aug. 22.  The Information Station will be open in the Castorena Hall Administration Building beginning Friday, Aug. 19.  The phone number for the information station is 538-6937.

Late fees begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25.  The late registration fee is $50.  Students who do not finalize by Friday, Sept. 9, are subject to be disenrolled.
