PHOTO CAPTION—The Apolonio “Polo” Sierra Conference Room was officially dedicated on Sept. 16 on the campus of Western New Mexico University. The Apolonio “Polo” Sierra Conference Room is located on the third floor of the WNMU Thomas B. McDonald Student Memorial Building. Sierra helped organize and charter the LULAC Council 8003 in December of 1981 and was instrumental in establishing a scholarship fund for local youth.
