SILVER CITY- WNMU students who are war veterans have been selected to serve as parade marshals for the Western New Mexico University 2005 Homecoming Parade on Oct. 8 beginning at 10 a.m.

The homecoming parade will follow the traditional route from campus, down College Avenue, right on Bullard, right on Broadway and conclude at the Grant County Courthouse. The public is encouraged to come out and watch the parade.

Entries for this year’s homecoming parade will be accepted through Sept. 30. To obtain a parade entry form, contact Laure Romero-Jones at the WNMU Admissions Office at 538-6105 or Maria Dominguez at the WNMU Multicultural Affairs/Student Activities Office at 538-6611.

The parade will be followed by the Homecoming game featuring the WNMU Mustangs versus the Western State University Mountaineers of Colorado beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the WNMU Altamirano Field.
