SILVER CITY—A handful of tickets are still available for the 30th
Annual University Club Car Party on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Buffalo Bar. The grand prize is $10,000 and only 320 tickets
will be sold.
Tickets are sold at $100 for
the drawing and $125 for the drawing plus dinner and dance for two. The entertainment for the evening is The Long
Hard Ride Band, a country western band from Albuquerque.
"We
still call it the Car Party because it has been such a great tradition
throughout the years. We have had a
grand prize of $10,000 for the last few years which everyone seems pretty
pleased about," said Christy Miller, University Club President.
More than $330,000 in
University Club donations has been made to WNMU groups over the years such as
the athletic department programs, drama, criminal justice, housing,
maintenance, band, satellite dish for Miller Library.
"The Car Party is the kick off of the holiday season parties and it is something many of us look forward to every year. It's a great time and you are also donating to some very wonderful groups on the campus of WNMU," said Miller.
Tickets are available from any University Club board member. Tickets may also be obtained at the Athletic Department at 538-6218 or Stone McGee & Company at 388-1777.
