SILVER CITY—The Western New Mexico University Extended University Office is offering a number of non-credit classes beginning in January.

Mat-based Pilates teaches that our body is the only equipment necessary for achieving physical fitness.  It strengthens and tones the muscles, improves balance, posture, and flexibility creating a redefined physique!  Regardless of your activity level, whether a beginner or an athlete, Pilates is a great form of exercise.  Classes begin Jan. 11 through May 12, 2006 on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 10-10:50 a.m. at the P.E. Complex Dance Studio.  Cost is $45 for a ten punch card.

Cardio Kickboxing is an intense cardiovascular and strength conditioning class incorporating non-contact boxing and karate techniques using jabs, kicks, and punches and focusing on core strength to reshape your body. Classes will begin on Jan. 11 through May 12, 2006 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5-5:50 p.m. at WNMU's Graham Gym.  Cost is $45 for a ten punch card.

Water exercise classes are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-9:50 a.m. First class meeting is free and then students may purchase a 10 punch card from the instructor Aurelia Ford-Carey.  The cost is $35 for the punch card.  Classes will start up again on Jan. 11, 2006.
