CAPTION-- Construction on an addition to Western New Mexico University’s Harlan Hall, natural science building, is underway. The expansion project has been awarded to Tatsch Construction, Inc. of Silver City. The architect for the project is Jim Redford of Redford Associates. The project includes the addition of two laboratories, one classroom, and more offices. Air conditioning is also planned throughout the building. The estimated cost of the project is $1.2 million. Funding for the construction project, which should be completed by September of 2006, was made possible through the passage of the 2004 General Obligation Bond approved by voters across the state.
