IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 3/14/06 CONTACT: PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE SILVER CITY- The Western New Mexico University Department of Expressive Arts in now accepting applications for admission into the bachelor of fine arts degree program for the fall 2006 semester. In order to qualify for the BFA program, a minimum of 24 credit hours in art must be completed with a grade point average of 3.0 in all art courses taken. Applicants must have successfully completed art core classes: 101, 102, 103 and 107. All applicants must obtain a sponsorship from a full-time faculty member. A one page BFA statement is required with BFA goals and art philosophy. Applicants must also submit a portfolio containing 20 images in a labeled 35mm slide format or a CD-PC compatible slide show and a list of works. Applications are available through the Expressive Arts Department located in the Parotti Building. Applications for BFA program are due by noon on Thursday, April 6, 2006.
