On May 5, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. the Bootheel Lab and the Teacher Learning Center invite you to join us as we celebrate an exhibit commemorating the heritage of New Mexico’s Hispanic culture. This exhibit features the first 40 covers of La Herencia, a magazine written and published by descendents of those Spanish-speaking people who began to settle in New Mexico over 400 years ago. Photographs and art works on these covers provide a panoramic view of Hispanic culture, both past and present.
Copies of the magazine La Herencia will be available for viewing and refreshments will be available. The exhibit is located downstairs between the Martinez-Fall Building and the Phelps Dodge Building. We look forward to seeing you. If you have any questions please contact Professor T.J. Betenbough or her Graduate Assistant Jennie Montoya at 538-6406.
