            SILVER CITY- Some 265 degrees will be conferred at the Western New Mexico University Spring Commencement Ceremony held on Friday, May 5, beginning at 6 p.m. at Old James Stadium. The keynote speaker will be Representative Dianne Hamilton. The degrees conferred that evening include 82 associate, 102 baccalaureate, and 36 master of arts, 36 master of arts in teaching, and nine master of business administration degrees.

            To qualify as an honor graduate, students must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5.

            Honors graduates receiving an associate degree from Silver City were Rachel Benavidez, Sarah Gates, Monica Mendoza, Lori Neely and Max Rothpletz Sr.
