SILVER CITY— Students who have not taken swim lessons offered through the Western New Mexico University Extended University Office and are interested in enrolling in the July 10- 21 swim lessons, must attend a swim lesson test on Friday, June 23, from 3 p.m. to 4:50 p.m.
The testing will take place at the WNMU Brancheau P.E. Complex. Students are asked to bring a swimsuit and a towel, as they will be tested in the water.
Those students that have had swim lessons before and have their Red Cross card may register at anytime at the Extended University Office. There are only two remaining sessions offered for the Kids Summer Swim Lessons on July 10-21 and July 23-Aug. 4.
The last day to register for the session beginning on July 10 is June 29 at noon, there will be no exceptions. The cost is $40 per student for 30-minute sessions Mondays through Fridays. Infant Preschool sessions will be from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Level I through Level VII sessions will be between 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
The age for Infant Preschool level is from 6 months to 3-1/2 years of age.
