CAPTION – Construction continues at the Muir Heights family housing units on the Western New Mexico University campus.  The two phase project is half completed with eight apartments already occupied.  The second phase includes the renovation of another 24 units estimated to be finished by mid-October.  Four Square Construction has been working on the project since spring of this year.  The renovated units have added features including air conditioning, larger windows, cabinets, and outside storage areas for the hot water heaters.  The project, estimated at $1.2 million, was financed by legislative appropriation and refinancing of bond debt.  With the doors and windows installed, construction workers focus on the other exterior sections of the apartment units.
