SILVER CITY--The New Mexico Education Council and the Western New Mexico University Admissions Office will be hosting a College Day Program on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Brancheau PE Complex Intramural Gym from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  More than 200 high school seniors from Cobre, Silver, Cliff, Animas, Aldo Leopold, Down to Earth, Silver Christian Academy, Silver High Opportunity School, Agape and Reserve are expected to participate.

Representatives from approximately 35 different college and universities from New Mexico, Texas and Arizona will be on hand to provide information about their respective institution.

“This is an opportunity for high school seniors to pick up literature and information from the various colleges and universities participating,” said Dan Tressler, WNMU admissions director.  “Western is pleased to be able to host it.”

The College Day Program is held at various locations throughout the state during a five-week period beginning in September and running through November.
