SILVER CITY—The Western New Mexico University Extended University office is offering a “Beginning to Intermediate Spanish” course beginning Jan. 29 through Feb. 26.

Classes will be held on Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Light Hall Room 100. The cost per student will be $100 and class size is limited to 12 people.

This course goes beyond the basic Spanish course to introduce irregular verbs in the present tense, reflexive verbs, and the future tense using the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  Yessica Naisbitt, instructor, has taught Spanish as a second language in Boscas de Toro, Panama where she taught at a small private Spanish school which targeted international travelers.

Students may register at the Extended University office located in Bowden Hall Room 234 or call 538-6149 for further information.
