SILVER CITY—Due to special demand, the Western New Mexico University Office of Special Events/Ed Rec will be offering swim lessons year round. The next session is scheduled from Sept. 6 through Sept. 28. Registration begins Thursday, Aug. 30, at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
Swim Lessons are offered for Level Infant/Preschool through Level 2. Classes for each session will be every Wednesday and Friday for four weeks. Other levels will be offered with the upcoming sessions. Each session is $40 and payment is required at the time of registration.
Each child will be tested in the water on registration day so parents need to make sure to bring a swimsuit and towel for the child at the Brancheau P.E. Complex Swimming Pool. The only exception is if the child took swim lessons with the department this past summer 2007.
