SILVER CITY--A special preview performance of “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings,” will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, starting at 7 p.m. at the Western New Mexico University Fine Arts Center Theatre. Additional performances will be held on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7- 8, starting at 7 p.m. with a matinee performance on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The production of “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings (Un Señor Muy Viejo Con Unas Alas Enormes),” is adapted from a short story by Gabriel García Márquez, winner of the Nobel Prize for literature, and written and translated by Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz.
Production director Ann Marie Elder says the cast is excited to share this wonderful fantasy tale with the community.
Admission to the performances is free of charge. Donations will be accepted.
