SILVER CITY—Dr. Patricia Manzanares-Gonzales, Western New Mexico University Dean for the School of Education, will be the keynote speaker for the Honor Graduates Recognition Breakfast on Friday, Dec. 14. She is a native New Mexican with some 29 years of experience in education and has served as the SOE Dean since 2006.
Associate and bachelor degree earning high honors students, who have attained
at least a 3.5 grade point average or better, are invited to participate in
the recognition.
Associate degree graduates earning honors graduate status are Margarita Calderon, Jeremy Carbajal, Therasa Carter, Rosa Diaz, Mary Fletcher, Kathleen Gee, Alexandra Kunkel, Marichu Lazo, Cecilia Leyba, Danna Lopez, Shelley Lowery, Arline Medlin, Nicole O’Connell, Samantha Ontiveros, Imelda Peterson, DeAnna Rodriguez, and Elsa Solano.
Bachelor's degree graduates earning high honors status are Shawna Arnold, Elizabeth Banderas, Cassandra Bluett, Donna Bornmann, Candice Dalton, Aurelia Ford-Carey, Jean Fortenberry, Leila Gomez, Sandra Hudson, Peter Kaiser, Kelly Logan, Angela Maes, Daniel Magnani, Kara Naber, James Smith, Theresa Smith, Juliet Sullivan, Cynthia Vega, Angel Vos, and Kathy White.
The WNMU Fall Commencement 2007 ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. at the WNMU Fine Arts Center Theatre on Friday, Dec. 14.
